He completed his MD – General Medicine from Government Medical College, Amritsar, Punjab, and subsequently earned his DM – Medical Gastroenterology from Sawai Man Singh Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences.

He has also undergone Fellowship Training in Advanced Endoscopy at PGI, Jalandhar and has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.

His research work includes studies on choledochal cyst variants, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic disorders, and liver diseases.

He is actively involved in ongoing research projects and has served as a co-investigator in an international multicentric clinical trial in MASH (Survodutide).
